  • PK to M4/3

I have a PK to M4/3 adapter which seems to work with Panasonic cameras but not Olympus, it just doesn't seem to lock into the mount correctly and the screen displays black....this is a bit of a pain as i've amassed a few Pentax lenses and would really like the option of using them on my E-M1X.

Does anyone know of a good, sensibly priced adapter? Preferably something with AF and aperture capabilities. I don't see the point in getting another cheap manual adapter that may or may not work.

Sadly, I am not sure what you are looking for (including aperture signalling and focusing) for Pentax K lenses on MFT, exists - I've never seen something like this. I would be happy to be proven wrong.

Most Pentax K AF lenses focus via a motor in the camera body operating a driveshaft to control the focusing.

Black screen, that locking pin hole is not deep enough.

As Henry says it sounds like the locking pin hole isn’t deep enough .they can be drilled out with care

blu-by-u when you say you file yours, do you mean you file the pin or the hole? I'm not that keen on making modifications to my camera as I imagine the metal is already pretty thin, so the chance of making a mistake are quite high....filing the pin on the adapter sounds a lot better

No. I use a needle file and file the hole to make it deeper. I would never file the pin.

Surely the metal is only a millimeter or so thick.....sounds like a precarious fix.....I think i'd rather get a different adapter, although this particular one seems to work with Panasonic cameras, so maybe I should get a panasonic camera instead? You can get a G1-3 for about £50 if you're lucky
