  • Sony E-mount to M 4/3

I have recently purchased a Sigma Art lens with a Sony E mount. What I can't find is an adapter, so does anyone know how I can get this lens to work with my E-M1X?

This would require an adapter with optics in it because the Sony flange/back distance is shorter than the Micro Four Thirds distance, so focusing to infinity wouldn't be possible. Conversely, there are adapters to mount M43 lenses on Sony E-mount bodies.

Yes, i've noticed adapters going the other way but that's no good for what I want....I also read about the flange distance focusing issue but I didn't find anything about a solution.....is it possible?

Not in practical terms. As Ian said, you'd need an adapter with a lens in it to correct for the fact that the flange distance is smaller on e-mount than m43. And I really can't see anyone making such a thing because the number of people who'd want to buy it would be vanishingly small. I think your only course of action is selling the lens and getting a native m43 lens, or else buying a cheap Sony Alpha camera on which to put the lens you have.

Yeah I was considering the latter of those choices....yet another camera.....so much for me trying to keep things simple....perhaps I can find someone to swap?
Working...
