  • Stronger than your average Nikon

After my horrifying accident last weekend ,my main concerns were for my 1-mkii ,100-400 and 1.4 tc. Which were around my neck as I nose dived into the mountain top . On the odd occasion I have been able to wear my glasses I have checked it out and it’s totally unmarked and working 100% o.k it’s just me that needs at least another week or two

So I was quite surprised this morning to get a enquiry from a long time friend asking about insurance costs , he is a Nikon user having high end Nikon mirrorless and lens . It appears his best gear decided to go walkabout from another Welsh mountain this week with the reverse results ,he’s o.k but lens is bent double , lens mount ripped out of body , rear screen ripped off etc bits and pieces all over mountain .and £6000 pounds worth of damage

So I guess it’s 1-0 to Olympus this week .. but I will definetly be getting my gear insured properly before I venture out again .but that wont be soon

I always suspected mountains are bad news and that's why I live in Norfolk. I hope you are repaired as good as new before too long Jeff.
