the 18-180 four thirds lens that I have been pondering over in the other thread arrived this morning . taken a few test shots to ensure its o.k .. all appears to be working fine ,cant really fault it and as suspected its going to cover a nice range from wide to mid focal lengths for me and cuts out the need for other lenses . will test it out some more today ,but so far so good plus I got it at a good price to . couple of sample shots .. granddaughters car and fuchsia bush

and a few more just testing out its abilities and to see if theres anything to watch out for . so far extremely pleased with the results and I cant figure out why it wasn't a more popular lens .. unless it performs better on modern sensors

I'm delighted to see that the 18-180 brigade has yet another convert. It is one of Olympus' under-rated gems - and very affordable. That being said, AF responsiveness is undoubtedly helped if it's attached to any of the E-M1s.

I used to have one of them too. It was a great little all rounder. Only got sold when I got a 14-150 Pan/Leica.

TBH I can’t fault the A/F on my 1-mkiii didn’t really notice any slowness or hunting it just clicked into place , perhaps it was a lens waiting for a camera rather than the other way round .. I used to have a 12-60 f2.8 before might get another once this is paid for…have to keep a eye on my spending as SWMBO has caught on to the fact I’m buying again 😂😂😂
