  • Ever wondered if your camera is as good as your iPhone?

Interesting side by side... I think which is which is clear!? But the phone has surprised me!

It might help the discussion if you could point out which camera took which photo ... ?

If you zoom in a little it's too obvious to need me to tell you!, but everyone who's commented is correct. Laft one camera, right one iPhone, the detail is just nowhere near the same.

I agree with MJ. Right is the iPhone and the left is a camera

Absolutely, the left one is a keeper, the right one needs so much work that I'd either dump it or keep it to see just what, if anything, could be done with it.
        Cameras rule!

I hope you don't mind but I took a screen capture of the Phone shot and processed it in Topaz Photo Ai using its super focus feature.
This is what it came up with. IMHO it's a lot closer to the Camera one now.

Good try Dave, but the weaknesses of the phone camera for this type of photography are still there.
I reckon that if you had done the same thing with the camera shot and put them side by side, we would be back where we started. Silk purse/sows ear comes to mind.

I just looked at them both on my phone and they both look pretty good. Amazing how close they are viewed as most would.

For me there's no comparison; the left one is totally superior. The right one would be acceptable if you didn't have a camera with you.
