  • Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV opinions please.

Has anybody got one of these?

I was wondering is anybody had one and what they thought of it, no direct comparison to the OM-1 Mkll of course.

Now entering my forth year of long covid I'm looking for a lightweight alternative to my OM-1 Mkll + 12-45mm, which I refuse to part with (yet)

    TIA

I just bought a new one for my wife and she's really enjoying it. Very compact but with a nice dial and button layout. The 14-42 lens is not bad at all. It'll work really well with the 12-45 F/4 for sure.

She's an Auto shooter and is really happy with the output.

In-camera battery charging is handy and whilst it doesn't have PDAF it seems to be doing a decent job of capturing focus on day to day stuff.

Isn't weather sealed which may be its biggest downside but that's not an issue for my wife or I would have likely picked up a used EM5.

    Hope this helps.

I agree and it fits nicely in a cargo pocket with the 14-42EZ.

Well, it’s sort of true Dave. Whilst the later hardware was an improvement, they dumbed down the software in it.

Dave, a friend of mine's son had long covid and it cleared up quickly when he started to use a nicotine patch. I'm not sure if it's medically proven, but it worked for William and might be worth a try.

PS I don't know anything about the E-M10 except stocks seem to be low and I wonder if there is an OM-10 waiting to come out?
