I occasionally video Ukulele Bands, and find the OM1 ii in-built microphone to be pretty good. Wind noise is the only minor bug bear, so thinking of using an external mike.
Any suggestions for a "Good Value" mike, I am not spending a lot on one, as it will not be used a lot....
I tried some outdoor interviews for a Charity - they were dreadful due to wind noise, even though I had wind suppression on the camera.
A quick search of the internet gave this:
Olympus OM-1 Stereo Microphone
Item# B1004XVAMB
Currently at £23, it seems ideal, but I haven't bought one yet until I know if this is going to be a regular task for the Charity.
No advice because I haven't tried any microphones on the new camera but used to video interviews - often outside to get away from the band that were playing inside. There's one in particular that springs to mind, pre-festival so no bands were playing but it was blowing a gale! Luckily it was only speech, but that took so much work in post on Premiere Elements!
