  • New MFT camera from Panasonic Lumix

Clearly, Micro Four Thirds is dead, but let's launch another camera anyway😀

I guess the G97 is the Panasonic equivalent of the OM5. It seems a decent mid-range camera.

Similar to the OM5 in at least one respect
Its just a slight update and sharing the same body as a previous model (G90/95)
Basically the addition of a USB-C function presumably to adhere with the new EU regulations.

The Panasonic tx100 is a great little proper pocket camera with lots of functions . I presume the zs99 is a successor of sorts. Again compact cameras are supposed to be dead.

No, the ZX99 is a 30x zoom with a tiny sensor. The replacement to the LX100ii is the Panasonic version of the Leica D-Lux 8 - but it's still not arrived!

I owned the almost identical G90 sans the USB-C port.
Wasn't that impressed to be honest, not as some believed sharing the same sensor as the G9.

Glad I got it very reasonably priced when John Lewis cleared their stock.
In fact got back more than I paid for it from selling to a dealer
