Capture One Black Friday 50% off deal available

I've just seen this on their website - 50% off subscription and perpetual licenses

So the question is whether to switch to the subscription which is cheaper for the first year, but can you still access the archived C1 Catalogues read-only if you later don't renew the sub? I don't like the lock-in / locked-out possibility...

Odd that there was no email from them given the recent email offer of 40% off I missed a few weeks ago. It is like playing poker with them on discounts!

I went for the 50% off Black Friday deal on a CaptureOne Pro subscription for £89.50.

I thought about the perpetual license but it locks you into the current version with only minor updates.

For the new subscription purchase I added my 20% off loyalty code but it made no difference to the price. So much for loyalty, it seems better to wait for Black Friday week discounts!

I still have my C1 Pro 22 perpetual licence it seems, AFAIK previously they cancelled perpetual licenses on changing to a subscription, which is a bit odd.

I’m now on a subscription.

Relying on memory, if you decide to revert to a perpetual licence you can either stick with the last perpetual version you own (potentially losing access to updated catalogues) or else you can buy a perpetual licence for the latest version of the subscription you own, and the price of that reduces the longer you’ve owned a subscription.
