OV 3 EXIF data - CAF + tracking

I've been looking for a bit of software that will let me check which images I use CAF or CAF + tracking for and thought OV3 would be the answer but as far as I can see it shows both setting as Continuous Focus


Am I missing it somehow or does it not show whether tracking was used?


(I also use Lightroom CC and the latest Paint Shop Pro but they don't appear to show this info either)

Phil Harvey's EXIFtool is widely thought to be the tool which allows you do find the most detail about the metedata included in image files.

I've just had a look at the Olympus Maker Notes EXIF tag list as shown on the EXIFtool website - see here https://sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exi...s/Olympus.html

...and scroll down to Tag ID 0x0301 FocusMode under the heading = 'Olympus CameraSettings Tags'

It seems as if Olympus hasn't designated a bit in this field to distinguish between C-AF and C-AF+TR - though, curiously this Tag doesn't specify a meaning for bit 3
Perhaps this is why you aren't seeing any different value when using OV3 ?

Thanks for taking the effort to look for me Chris, I had a short walk and shoot this morning and carefully noted what shots were SAF, CAF and CAF + Tracking and satisfied myself that OV3 didn't take note of the tracking function but its good to have confirmation that it wasn't just me missing something obvious
