So far so good - I might be kidding my self but I think the images are better than before

does the new support for the ORF file cut in on images one has already imported into LR

Depends on whether your pre-existing images are still in the LR cache.
If you purge the cache (Edit -> Preferences -> File Handling -> Purge Cache) and then restart Lightroom it will rebuild the images you are viewing.

However, I haven't noticed any improvement in the Em1-mk2 RAW images I processed prior to the LR 6.9 update.

It has got camera profiles now - on previous models this improved the colour rendition a bit on some types of shot.

Re: Lightroom CC / 6.9 update

I've noticed that any shots where I'd changed the colour balance in 6.8, now look wrong (mainly too green!). Setting the colour balance back to the original colour setting, they then look fine again. I think it is rather faster to load the files too but haven't noticed anything else.

Re: Lightroom CC / 6.9 update

I have found the RAW files from both my MkI and MkII too green. This was confirmed using a colour calibrator. I now have a preset on import to correct it.

Are you using Lightroom, CD? If you are, which camera profile are you using?

Apologies if this is stating the obvious, but.... in the Develop module, quite a long way down, there is a panel for "Camera Calibration". It has a pulldown for "Profile". By default this appears to be set to "Adobe Standard". Now that LR has full support or the Mark II you also have the choice for Camera Muted, Camera Natural and a couple of other "Camera" ones. I find the Natural works pretty well - and if you decide you like it you can just set camera defaults for import so it always gets set.

I found this helpful with the Mk I, although my problem was too much magenta. I found that late in rugby matches on dark days with Auto WB I was getting a magenta cast that was difficult to correct. Changing from Adobe Standard to Camera Natural somehow made it easier to deal with.

It's probably a matter of personal taste but I find the camera profiles (even "natural") rather too saturated to me. The Adobe standard one works well for me. I'm sure some the colours look better since installing 6.9.

I am using LR6.9. I am aware of the camera profiling built into LR but using a dedicated profiler gives me spot on results. It is important to me as I do a fair bit of product photography so precise colours are a must.
