I've subscribed to the PS and LR download for a while, but never seem able to get the updates. Is my laptop security blocking these or is it something else that I need to do. I click onto update and nothing happens....

did you have copies before which may be blocking updates in the etc file. i had a similar problem which Adobe help me solve. I don't know how these got into the ETC file as i have aways owned PS since version 3 LR from the day it was launched from RawShooter & Acrobat on both windows & mac since version 7.
I am actually just down loading the new 2015 version released today. BTW are you signed in on the creative cloud? that would stop you getting updates
