If anybody else is running the CC version of LR/PS via the Creative Cloud application you may have problems with starting up LR6 after install.
I installed in the normal way via the CC application on my PC last night but LR6 refused to start. The solution is simple as it turns out.
Once installation is complete you have to sign out of the CC application via the preferences sub menu in the CC tools menu and then sign in again. All is well after that.
This is the second time I've had LR problems after major version installs. Not good from Adobe given the basic nature of that.
Pleased to say that although I have not had time to really look beyond a shallow play LR6 has some noticeable performance improvements so it's worth it.
Hope this helps someone if they have problems.
