I used to be able to export a file, limiting the file size to 500kb, but now when I try to do that LR4 tells me it 'could not creat a JPEG that met your limit".
I have to edit the pic in CS5 which is a pain, double handling. LR4 is my prefered way of working, PS5 is only used to colour pop or other specials.
Any ideas how to resolve the problem?
I have just tried it and can only reproduce the problem if I don't resize the image. So if I try an .ORF file without resize (4608x345) I get the error message, the same file resized to 1000 px long side works fine.
There must be a minimum file size for a given image size.
Dave, if you are exporting an un-cropped image, you probably need to resize the image (immediately below the Image settings) to get inside the limit.
I normally only resize to get a smaller file, but found that I needed to resize the image (to, say, longest side = 1000) in order to use the file limit.
