Last night, following the recommendation of a fellow member on here, I downloaded and installed this software. I'm really impressed with it, so much so that I was going to buy the full version in order to take advantage of the batch processing facility. However, I then noticed that the output JPEGs are tiny in comparison to the originals - less than 10% of the size - which worries me somewhat. Is this a restriction of the free version (you can't save at anything higher than 90% quality but I can't see that another 10% would make up the difference) or is there a setting somewhere I need to adjust? Any help appreciated thanks.

Re: Noiseware Community Edition
I noticed that too about Noiseware Community Edition too, and it strips out the Exif information as well and there seems to be no way to prevent it. Pity because it does do a good job. If there's a setting to change the size of jpegs I haven't found it.Roger

Re: Noiseware Community Edition
Hi
I don't use noiseware but do have Neat Image.I remember that when you download the free edition of this you can only save JPEG's as small files.
When I got the paid edition you can save as large ie full size.
I'm assuming it's the same with Noiseware. All the best

Re: Noiseware Community Edition
By the way, if you use Photoshop there's a handy freeware plugin for reducing noise here:

Re: Noiseware Community Edition
Seems you're right. I've just downloaded Neat Image and tried the same file. Saved it at 91% (Neat Image default) and it's a lot bigger. It would seem that 10% reduction in quality really does result in a much smaller file.Originally posted by andym View PostHi
