Downloading Issue

This is about Sony software but the issue has wider potential.

I needed to reinstall image processing software after reinstalling W10.

My other camera is a Sony A7r3 and, like ORFs, its RAW images are invisible to my PS CS6 extended.

The ARWs can be opened with specific Sony software, Imaging Edge Edit, and saved as TIFFs.

Another Edge was the problem here, MS Edge.

I tried several times to download and install it. There is it sat, slammed shut and useless each time. Once it mentioned a missing file.

MS Edge is supposed to have the same type of software as Chrome.

Chrome would have been what I used to download my original Sony Edge, which ran very well.

So I installed Chrome and used it to download yet another set of Sony Edge software. I installed it and it opened up beautifully as if there had never been a problem

There is a reason for these numbers:
Market share of browsers worldwide from Sept 2024 - Sept 2025.
Chrome has 71.86%, Safari has 13.86% and Edge has 4.67%.

I use mainly Firefox but also Chrome. May I ask what %age they say Firefox holds?
