Purple Haze

I recently got my hands on some Lomography Lomochrome Purple which kind of mimics the legendary Kodak Aerochrome infra red film. Basically anything green goes purple.

This was just a test roll, basically pointing my Hasselblad H1 at anything green to see how it would turn out.

So put some Hendrix on and feast your eyes on this lot...













And in true Lomography style I left the film borders in for most of these (I actually forgot to scan the borders with the first one!).

Interesting, not sure what context you'd want purple greens.

Nice pictures with an interesting take. I'm sure there is a filter or some PP that could remove the purple blobs.

I did try 'colour correcting' these in Lightroom just to see what would happen - the results were not good. Not sure why you'd shoot this film and then try to correct the colour for real though.

I think to get the best out of this film you need to include elements that aren't green, such as buildings or whatever, so you just have accents of purple rather than have wall to wall purple. So that's my next task - to try to find subjects that will work better with the film.
