    Surely it is the cheapo 40-150 that is usually known as the plastic fantastic, not the 75-300mm? Nice pictures though.

      It's pretty much plastic construction Kenny but thanks for liking the photos

    It's a great value lens and I know some say it's a bit soft at 300mm, I know I can get decent results with my relatively old silver example.

      Generally I find f8 at the long end with good shutter speed works well

      No need to stop down from f/6.7 in my experience.
