Hi Looking for a bit of advice on best place to send lens. Had and accident in Nov when i was carrying camera with lens attached in one hand and a hot chocolate in other fell AoT and a small amount of the hot choc landed on both, i thought all was ok, but the lens it very hard to get extended and looks as if there is a problem with the rubber seal. Where would be the best place to get it looked at straight to Olympus service or is there anywhere in the UK that could be recommended? Apart from the stiffness it is working fine. Thanks in advance.

Re: Service for 50-200swd
Put some dry silicone spray on the lens barrel. I do this on all my zoom lenses and hood bayonets once a year. It keeps them smooth in operation.
Shop the latest 3-IN-ONE Professional Silicone Spray Lubricant quick drying, no-mess high-performance lubricant at Halfords UK
Don't apply the spray directly, but spray it onto a tissue and wipe the lens barrel.

Before you send off the lens for repair do a quick search to determine how it would cost to replace the lens completely with a new or nearly new version. Then when the estimate for the repair arrives you will be in an informed position as to whether to accept the quote or not. This space for rent
