Available November for an estimated price of $1500 along with a 1.4 converter for an estimated $350.
At the moment the converter will only be compatible with the 40-150 F2.8 but I expect it will work with the forthcoming 300 F4.

The 40-150 promises faster focussing dual linear VCM motors for "fast moving subjects at sports events". Min focussing distance (from front element) of 20" at all focal lengths. Internal focussing.

Sounds brilliant to me!

If it's anything like the E-M1, even the dealers don't know their own pecking order. It seems to be random. But the main guys seem to be Park, Wex, and SRS, in no particular order.

I note that SRS are hoping for deliveries at the end of this month, at a price of £1299.

Hmm. So placing a pre-order is a bit hit and miss possibly unless I use one of the dealers you mention (not that I know what the process is having never done one!)..

I ordered through LCE and they said maybe October. I thought this was optimistic but will be pleased if it happens.

I had great success with LCE in colchester with the EM1 bodies - I walked out of the shop with a pair on the first day -I dropped them a mail a week before photokina and got put on list for lens and converter.

Hmm.
While SRS's website says they are still expecting stock late in September there are others who are now expecting to get some in early December - anyone know any more about this ?
