    HELP! Kit lens - which is sharper

    Just from being curious - which lens produces sharper better IQ results - the older 14-45mm. lens or the newer 14-42mm. lens?

    I had both before I went micro, in my opinion the older one is sharper but suffers from just a little more (not a lot) purple fringing, I sold the new one and kept the old one.
