  • The Missing Link - or is it me?

Having just purchased a mZuiko 12mm lens, it struck me that there is a gap in Olympus' m4/3 "prime" lens line-up.

You have the 12mm, the 17mm, the 45mm, the 60mm (to come) and now the 75mm.

But where is their take on the "standard" lens, the 20-25mm?

Has anyone heard mention of it on a road-map?

So far as non-kit lenses go, Olympus and Panasonic both seem to be avoiding duplicating what the other already produces, with a few exceptions. This may change as the respective ranges become more populated.

This is true, but I don't know if it's by design or happenstance.

Purely from the stands of design and ergonomics, I prefer to have an Olympus lens. That's certainly not to say that Olympus lenses are better than Panasonic - far from it. But I would like to see a 25mm from Olympus, in silver, on the front of my silver E-M5.
