  • Last minute gift

Anne and I have hired a 50mm lens from the e-group lens hire for the holiday season. http://e-group.uk.net/hire/hire_info.php/

The first shots I have taken using this lens are incredible - extemely sharp and seems to focus promptly with the E-5.

One I feel to put on your last minute list IMHO.

      Re: Last minute gift

I get a lot of use from my one. OK it's not the fastest focus but the results are brilliant. I used it with the 20mm extender on the E-PL1 and was amazed at the IQ

I use it a lot for portrait work as well, as it's the same as 100mm on the OM, which we were brought up with as being an "ideal" lens...

I agree Barr1e, it is a wonderful little prime that is ideal for the E-5's higher resolving capabilities.
I wouldn't be without mine in the camera bag and it's the second one I've owned having returned from the dark side earlier this year

No time for make up and arrangement of stray hairs.

This one of Anne is almost straight OOC.

            Re: Last minute gift

I've been really impressed with mine. Although I use it mainly for work (fossil images), I did take it out to a friend's wedding recently and got a few great shots.
