  • Re: Image Circles of Printing-Nikkor Lenses

I haven't checked this out fully but it seems that the 105mm is the only one with an image circle definitely large enough (45mm) to cover full frame. All cover m4/3.

Models vary, Most others may only cover 30mm. My version of the 150mm (the best one for resolution) is 30mm but I believe another version is over 80mm. I use a x1.4 or x1.5TC to make mine cover FF.

So, if you are considering buying one, and can afford it, be sure to check which size image circle it has.

I am guessing that being an enlarger lens the mount thread is 39mm?

      No, it's very individual.: Screw 2.75″ P=1/24″

I had an adapter made, the above to 52mm screw and I then take it via 52-42mm (1.0mm) into OM.

        Sorry, Ian,

I got interrupted by a chainsaw repairer coming to collect mine.

It is not an enlarger lens, just the opposite, in a way, the originals were made in around 1968 for MGM, etc. to copy their cinema films. I don't know the which model it applied but the price was $116,000. I got mine for under £1,000 and the, much lighter, image circle 45mm plus,105mm for about £350.
