  • 90mm Macro, very brief review.

    Fabulous, fabulous

I collected it yesterday and as soon as I unboxed It I knew I had something special.

The OA quality I feel is a cut above other pro lenses.

It's so intuitive, just set your focus range and it's macro up to 2:1 with what seems like any other ordinary lens.

    AF up to 2:1...no problem.

No faffing around like the 60mm with a distance control that keeps changing it's mind.

Early days yet, but it sure is a beauty.

At 80, my only problem now is figuring out how to get myself up off the ground

Looks good so far Dave, have fun with it. I'm 59 and I'm having trouble getting down and up again to take photos of flowers etc. You're doing Ok at 80, maybe I need to see the doctor or do some exercises!

I am doing exercises and it is not helping. I am 72 and it all started going down hill at 69.
I hate that I cannot get up from the ground unless I pull myself up with the aid of something. Lots of times, you would see me take photos of something and then crawl over to a chair, tree trunk, etc. fence, etc, to push or pull myself up. It's not a pretty picture. My knees are getting dirty.

But what is a pretty picture(s) is the onion flower photo. Wow, that is so delicate and SOOOOO IN FOCUS. It is a very nice composition too with the soft second flower in the background. Have fun with your new lens, Dave.
