Not really, I do macro daily, up to and beyond the magnification the lens offers. There is very little margin for error but no different from other macro.

Not the first macro lens to buy.

For those who use the Olympus T-System Flash units, this may be of interest.

The T-10 ring flash is a slightly loose fit on that part of the lens barrel beyond the aperture ring, leaving the outer side of the unit flush with the front of the lens. Thus, some suitable padding around the front of the barrel could make the flash usable without losing any working distance. However, the slim nature of the lens would be lost so that the choice of subjects would be more limited.
