It seems to me that if the macro converter fits a 14-150mm with a 58mm filter screw then it will fit a M.Zuiko 75-300mm with the same size filter thread. There is no reference on Olympus website to using the converter with this lens so perhaps there is a reason other than thread size for the lack of recommendation. Can anyone enlighten me please?
The MCON doesn't use the filter threads, but fits into the lens hood bayonet mount (although there's a step-up arrangement for one of the MFT 14-42 versions - can't remember which one). It does not fit on the FT 70-300, but does on the FT 14-42 (I know because I 'borrowed' its hood to put on my MFT 14-150!) and the FT 40-150 (I think the original version).
Apologies - just reread the original post! I don't know if the MCON will fit the MFT 75-300, but it's a bayonet compatability issue, not a filter thread one.
