Re: Focal Length Field Of View Comparison
Well, it's listed as 780g, so it's between the 12-60 at 575g and the 50-200 SWD at 995g. I find it easy to use (and carry) and it balances nicely on an e510 body. You just have to discipline yourself to put the cap back on all the time! And yes, that extra 2mm makes a real difference!Originally posted by Garrie View PostNice one, whats the lens feel like? Is it that heavy, man I wish I could try one lol

When I first got my 7-14 I thought it was going to be too heavy so I spent a whole day with it as the only lens I used on a walkabout in London.
I was amazed by the results and surprised by how well it works for me. It's actually lighter than some of my OM setups

Re: Focal Length Field Of View Comparison
Our E-System User/FTU events are a great opportunity to meet other photographers from the forum, talk all day about all things Olympus and photography in general, have a good laugh and try other people's equipment. When Ian is there, and he trys to attend most meets, he brings a comprehensive range of bodies and lenses including some quite exotic glass.
The downside is it gets you hooked on lenses you can't afford - in my case the 14-34mm (drool, drool) and the 7-14mm (gasp, gasp). For sheer impact the latter is a truely amazing lens and if you ever get the opportunity to try one I'm sure you'll be left pining for it just like me!John
