it's out of stock BUT Park Cameras says ..."Cashback is valid if you order the item within its offer period, even if it's currently out of stock" BUT the OM site seems to say that "The full cashback amount must be claimed by 16.12.2024, later claims will be rejected."

So, how can you do that as you wont have the receipt and details of the lens serial number etc before 16th Dec????? (Asking for a friend)

Yes, I can confirm these are good. One of my regular walking mates has got a pair, and I’ve compared them against my old Leitz 8x25’s. You can see a difference in resolution, but it’s pretty minor in the real world.

I ordered that 100-400 last night, but now I'm considering an OM-1 too.

I don't particularly need or want the 7-14 though, it seems an odd set to have on offer, but this deal seems much better value than even a second hand one.

I can't help thinking that at half RRP, stocks of the 100-400mm are being cleared to make way for a Mk2. OM System and Sigma have done the ground work with full Sync IS in the 150-600mm, so it makes sense to transfer it to the 100-400. At a price of course.

It does seem like a clear out of the old current stock, possibly also to do with branding?? I doubt we'll see it at this low price again.

I will be buying that pair. That will be two OM 1s and a M1X. The M1X will then stay at home set up for my Still Lifes.

Camera Gent Both LCE group and SRS Microsystems have it in stock at the moment at £999 (no free SD card)

              London Camera Exchange

              SRS Microsystems

The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm 1:5.0 - 6.3 IS is an extremely compact and lightweight lens that offers an equivalent range of 200 - 800mm on a 35mm film camera.

Hmm. That's helpful. Thanks. I had thought that as I have the 150-600 it would be a good compromise lens when travelling and I don't want to carry the big, heavy lens. Less reach and technology but good to accompany my 12-100mm lens. It's VERY tempting at £600!!
Now ordered via LCE, not sure if it includes divorce papers or not though . . . .

Just out of curiosity, has anyone managed to submit a cashback claim to OM Systems?
I'm having all sorts of problems, from the system telling me that my e-mail is already assigned (yes, to me) to being unable to actually submit the claim (the verification process keeps expiring).
It wasn't like this with Olympus!

Yes - it is a nerve-shredding process as you have to supply all sorts of info and don't get any useful communication along the way. I think it took 2 to 3 weeks and I got an email saying it was approved and they would pay some time - I think on the same day that the payment hit my bank account. It is so much simpler when you can just get the discount at the point of purchase!

Well, I'm glad that it's not just me. I'm going to keep on trying just to actually submit my claim!
I think that next time I'll wait for the instant cashback offer instead.

I put a claim in yesterday afternoon for £100, without any problems.
