  • Comparison of E510 and Sony A700

This is a stupid comparison in my view as the A700 is twice the price. Article is really a review of the Sony but should interest E510 owners.

The truth about Ricoh's latest pocket rocket: the GR IV succeeds at everything it tries to do, but refuses to give what most photographers want in 2025.

An interesting read. The E510 seems to punch above its weight really

Yes and its nice to see the Oly comparison. Did not see any Nikon mention. Are times changing?

I agree, comparing the Sony to the E-510 is a step in the right direction for Olympus. The E-510 is an awesome camera and provides a high feature per pound ratio - in my opinion a ratio that is far higher than other cameras. All I need now is my manual for the E-3 so I can start to get to grips with that beautiful baby

This seems a very reasonable review, mind you isnt it whatyou would expect from a tie up with Minolta and Sony? I remember that Minolta were way up there with the big boys in the film models and indeed used to be in a big ie up with Leitz. To say this is only the second dslr for Sony I think they will bear watching closely no they have dipped their toes in the water>
