... Four Thirds, at least, agreed. ๐Ÿ‘

Four Thirds cameras are a plenty but this device truly did a number on photographers back in the day. Here's why it's so iconic.

โ€œโ€œThe E-5 also has top-notch autofocusing. Because youโ€™re using the other focusing points to great effect in composition, you can theoretically lower your megapixels.โ€โ€‹

    Huh?

      Huh?
I just saw the article link here.

It does sound like an odd statement. I think they're referring to a linked article comparing it to 21Mp Canon 7D where 7D shooters CBA to frame the shot properly (by using the focus and reframe technique?) and always use the centre focus points then crop the resulting image to frame it.

Something about "shooting the subject in the center at all times and then liberally cropping in post-production from the 21MPโ€‹"

So you're OK with the lower 5Mp on the E-5 because you can frame it properly with the AF and don't need to crop in post or something like that?

I feel I should search out some of my E-5 ORFs and reprocess them with modern software, or maybe charge it up and have a play around. It should still work well as I had it repaired and serviced not long before switching to m43 with the E-1.
