Mine would be instant spot metering via the Fn button.
    1. Assign spot metering to the AEL/AFL button via the menu.
    2. Add AEL/AFL lock/hold if you wish
    3. Swap Fn & AEL/AFL functions via the menu

Job done! Instan spot metering right under your thumb for when you need it. It can also be done with other metering modes but i find the Spot-Metering invaluable.

Whats your favourite tip or trick

Good tip. Not one I had thought of.

It is a good tip, however I use the Fn button for switching to MF. I might try the above though.

I have the secondary Command wheel set for Exp Comp in Aperture and Shutter Priority.
In theory there's no difference between theory and practice but in practice there is.

Great - just what I need!

Now - how do you 'assign spot metering to the AEL/AFL button'? I've just been fiddling with the menu, but can't see it!

          Wrench 1
          Wrench E
          AEL Metering - Spot

          Then

          Wrench 1
          Wrench B
AEL/AFL - FN Swap (last option)

          Hope this helps
