Don't Olympus want to sell any cameras in the Midlands?

That's great but I do not know if there are any dealers left in Newcastle since Jacobs closed its doors

I've always thought it would ne nice if they held events at the Headquarters in Southend-on-Sea.

Will there be another hands-on event complete with model like there was when the E-P3 was launched? That was great.

                              Re: Olympus E-P5 dealer tour

I was off this afternoon so called in at Ffordes in Beauly to have a drool over the E-P5.
Lovely bit of kit but I don't think I would buy one. It oozes quality and feels like it is built to last. There is so much technology in the camera that I won't go in to any detail, but I did like shooting using the touch screen (something I've never had) it was instantaneous focus where you touch and shoot - wow! That 17mm lens looks very nice too.
I tried a 4/3 11-22mm with the MMF-1 and it did seem quicker to focus than my 9-18 or 35mm on the E-PL2 using the MMF-2, but it could have been my imagination.
I also tried an EVF, something I have never used on the E-PL2, and was quite impressed even though it was the VF-2 (VF-4 not available yet).
I was looking forward to seeing the Wi-Fi capability and remotely linking to a tablet/smartphone, but alas that wasn't working in the pre-production beta demo body.
One other thing, don't buy a white one!
Why wouldn't I buy one? It doesn't fit with what I want from a camera, it couldn't replace my E-5 and is slightly bigger and much heavier than my E-PL2.
If it was about the size of an E-510, weatherproof, able to get the most out of 4/3 lenses and with a fully articulated screen (with all the new wizardry) I would sell my E-5 and buy one!
