My first photos at high ISO, impressed !

There's obvious noise in the background, and the narrow DoF of the kit lens wide open doesn't give much in-focus detail.
The lens is noisy enough when focussing to wake a sleeping cat, even with the AF confirm beep turned off.

I was fighting Olympus Studio 2 (I hate it) and I think I over-processed #2, there are distinct colour bands.
The sooner that Lightroom supports .ORW files from the E-P1 the better for me.

Still impressive for 6400 ISO, bravo!

I have been regularly been using mine at 800 ISO and it is perfectly OK to just leave it there, particularly if you are working in monochrome and for 'street' photography. I really do think the pixel war is over with m4/3, and people will start to buy and use cameras for their functions, not headline grabbing pixel count.

I love cats so I realy like these shots.

One thing make these shots clear however: Olympus still has not solved the "banding" problem: there is some showing in photo 1 and 2.

I think the banding is caused by the appalling Olympus Studio 2 application.
I really hated using it, and found it almost impossible to see what I was going to get.
I ended up over-processing the images I think.

I don't know why camera manufacturers can't write good application software, but it's forced me to shoot Raw + Jpeg in order to get images - rather than fight the application. I found the same with Canon's DPP, it drove me to Lightroom.

Studio 2 has a few good features, but I won't be buying it after the trial ends.

Can not blaim you with Studio......

One reason why I try to avoid shooting Raw.
Don't need it most of the time anyway....
