  • Good guides and tips for using the M5 mark 3

    Hello
I have recently got my first Olympus camera since the film days - the M5 mark 3. The camera seems great but I could do with a guide to reading the menus and using the features. Is anyone aware of guides to using the camera. I hate the manual as I always do with new things Most of the stuff I have found is about OMD micro four thirds in general and I am having difficulty matching the pretty pictures to what I see!

On line tutorials, videos, tips and tricks would all be welcome.

    Dave

puffo25 (Andrea) mentioned during the group video conference on Friday a highly-recommended American YouTube channel for Olympus camera guides - I will try to identify it for you.

Thanks puffo25 have watched the first guide in the series on the mark 5. It was helpful. His style is a bit dry but he certainly knows his stuff

Looks like he's doing a live Q&A session at 14:30. Not sure if that's UK or US time though it didn't say.

Sorry, not wanting to rain on your parade, but the base can be prone to failure when mounted on a tripod....take care.

This is not the first report I've seen..........https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4477029

It's about continuing the tradition of the original 1970s film OMs

How do you know that? Where is the link for the live Q&A please? He is based in San Louis, Missouri, US, so I guess it is American Central standard time?

It came up when I clicked the link posted above. It seemed to be US time as it now says shown 3 hours ago.

Thanks for the heads up. I did a lot of research before buying the camera but this did not come up. I will monitor that page and see the outcome. The use of a tripod for me is minimal especially with shake reduction being available in camera.
