  • First "real" trip out with the E-M5 Mk III

Despite having the camera for a few weeks, its been hellishly busy (and the weather has been so lousy), so I havent had chance to get out when the weather has been decent...so over Christmas, we took a walk along the old/abandoned Grantham Canal. Weather was still pretty naff, but at least it wasnt raining! I think this is my favourite from the day.

I'm really looking forward to taking it to Lanzarote in a few weeks, hopefully there will be a few photo opportunities there.

Its a shame that humans dont come with autofocus, like cameras do!

Not been to the Canary Islands yet - my wife has been twice!

Looking forward to your shots, Tracey!

I'm told that the Canaries are good for astro shots too so well worth a few night time excursions.

Oh nice, I hadnt thought of that. We have a hire car booked. I wont have a tripod with me though, any alternatives to getting good shots without a tripod?

Maybe take one of those mini tripods? they are very light and pretty cheap. In fact I think I got one free with a magazine once. Or just use a nearby wall or something to rest the camera on.
