  • Any 3rd party grips for the MKII yet?

As the title says are there any 3rd party grips yet as I'm not prepared to pay the extortionate price for the ECG-2, especially considering I don't need the arca Swiss mount? If not how long after the EM5 launch did 3rd party grips start rolling out for it?

Really Right Stuff do one, but I haven't found a UK supplier yet.

Thanks. I can only see one that looks pretty much like the OEM olympus though and is $180 so no cheaper really. Plus it's got the same arca swiss design and no 'standard' tripod mount. I want a grip that also has a tripod mount. At least the RRS one has access to the battery compartment unlike the HLD-8G

        Iain,
RRS only supply directly. So if you buy from their web site you need to factor in the import duty (~ 3.7%) and VAT as well as the duty collection fee & delivery charge.

Yes, I've got and am using a JB Camera designs grip, which allows access to battery and card, and attachment of a tripod. I had buy it from Amazon US, but there were no problems, and it cost me about £65 inc postage.

At least you can buy RRS items online, a much easier company to deal with these days.
It's the image that's important, not the tools used to make it.

I've just listed a JB grip in the 'For sale' section.
