  • Long term review EM1X

Good honest long term review of the EM1X Thomas Stirr site is in my opinion a really good source of micro 4/3 content have to agree with most of his observations regarding his time with the EM1X

This is my E-M1X 4 year review, which is based on extensive hands-on experience using this camera and a selection of M.Zuiko lenses.

very interesting and encouraging write up mirrors what I have found in a few months of use

There is no doubt the EM1X is a great camera, I just wish the firware could be updated to use the OM1 menu system- even if they made a charge for it, would be less of a head scratch to remember where stuff is after using the OM1.

I initially railed against the EM1x form factor, but I can see with a long lens attached it makes perfect sense. I doubt however that there’s any real difference in IBIS performance compared to the EM1.3, despite what the reviewer says.

Not in I.b.I.s paul , but bird I.d plus the other ones , overall feel , custom mode flexibility ,I was as you know a big fan of the mkiii but the M1X although being older and heavier just feels and performs a notch better

Good write up. I was even thinking of selling my Em1 Mk2 (two of them) and buying another E-M1x.
