  • E-M1, how do I...?

Take a shot using the EVF and preview it on the 'flip-up' screen.

At the moment shots taken using the EVF can only be previewed in the EVF.
Shots taken using the 'flip-up' screen are previewed on it.

Is this a modification introduced with FW 4.0 and 4.1, I have just acquired a 'new' E-M1 and recall that I was able to do it with my 'old' camera (now sold).

    TIA Dave.

In Setup Menu (Spanner) Rec View "Auto"

However: if you take your eye away from the EVF before the recorded image is displayed in the EVF, it will not be displayed on the rear screen, when you do take your eye away from the EVF.

My E-M1 behaves the way you want, but I've got EVF auto-switching disabled - maybe that has something to do with it?

My one also behaves the way you want, but EVF auto-switch is on, and record view is off.
