I've always used 4:3, whole of the sensor and all that.

I switched briefly to 3:2 because I was considering adding, not switching to FX, and I think I prefer it.

It certainly suits my Macbook better.

I believe that you get far better results if you match the resolution and aspect ratio of the jpg files in the camera to that of the device that you are going to view them on.

Fortunately my iPad and laptop are both 1024x768 so the natural 4:3 ratio and size are optimised in the camera.

For aesthetics, I quite like 1:1

For my main interest of wildlife photography 4:3 is more useful than 3:2 so many of my images taken on my Canon 7DII are reduced to nearer that of the E-M1.
