  • Manual Mode with Auto ISO

Hello, I'm currently attempting to use Manual with Auto ISO but I can't seem to find how I can introduce exposure compensation. The meter on the bottom of the screen usually shows in the negative but can be centred by adjusting the shutter speed but it won't go positive no matter what I adjust. What am I doing wrong?

Hold the +/- button and rotate the front or rear dial.

Exposure compensation is added to the exposure difference

    shown in the display.

Hiya Dave, thanks for the response but there is no +/- button that I can see. The front dial does it in other shooting modes. I've assigned Fn2 to the +/- but even though I can see the compensation on the screen showing the amount of plus compensation, the meter at the bottom of the screen will not go higher than the centre point. So either I'm wrongly identifying the meter (even though the manual says that's what it is) and it's not what I think it is or I'm missing something else. The meter works in other modes.

Freewheeler, try the fn2 button. If not then use the button option to assign it to exposure compens, or another button.

            It's sort of logical.

With Manual ISO it will show over/under exposure. Once you choose auto ISO the metre will always be entered as ISO changes. When you dial in an exposure compensation the meter will be in centre as ISO will have been adjusted to the compensation.

When ISO reaches a limit I think meter will then show over/under exposure.

Take another look, it's to the left of the video record button.

Dave, it's an EM1 II with no -/+ button.
