I am aware I have no idea but also aware it all depends on the light available and today a good day, OM1 , 150-400 + 1.25TC bursts taken with very busy background it it nailed them all- just to far away to be useful! Manual settings "sensitivity" on zero - auto ISO 1/2500 wide open(5.6)- 25fps .
Jan Wegener is a top 3 favorite photographer/youtuber of mine.
I watched a video of his yesterday in which he was addressing how best to set up and use AF for Sony, Nikon, and Canon.
In his video he stated his belief that pressing and holding the AF too long, in all three manufactures products, will lead to AF misses in burst sequences.
He did not explain his reasons but my point is he is another top level photographer, well versed and experience in numerous brands, who expects AF misses in burst sequences across all top and very best brands.
Man I wished he shot m4/3 too.
I always "pump" the shutter , take a few are start again , I read somewhere the other day a Nikon guy said he took over 14,000 pics and less than 10 were OOF - really ? If that is the case I would be spending about 35k to replace my Oly system with Nikon and I doubt my pics would be so much better as to warrant the expense.
me too. learned about bumping the AF a long time ago. once in a while i will, out of curiosity, let a burst sequence rip with C-AF activated for a good high number just to see. nothing to report on that though.
Jan talked about bump AF in that same video.
I would be more than happy with that result ed..it seems only a few years ago we worried about loading a 24 or 36 exposure film and if left unused for a while wondering what we had in the camera
