Agreed, seems a fair appraisal. From my perspective I noted that he said that the AF tracking is definately improved which is the area I am interested in though I am not sure whether he meant subject detect Ai AF or general subject tracking or both.

OK so they fixed the dials, now just got to convince the management! The grad ND and ND improvements are nice too. If the AF feels more assured as well then it's all good. If the only AF improvements are to the tracking then I'm not so impressed.

I've seen some evidence that distractions, like stray branches, etc., are less of an issue. I think the retirement of the old face and eye detection system, moving to an AI version, is a big move. But I guess you would classify those under 'tracking' - AF reliability is still a bit of an unknown.
