There's not a lot of point if there's no fast telephotos to stick it behind.

Yes, just imagine a 75-300mm x 1.4 with a maximum aperture at the long end of around f9 - good for the tropics or midsummer's day only and with a tad diffraction softening thrown in!
When is m4/3 ever going to become a fully grown-up system?

I read an interview with one of the Olympus design team at Photokina on another site the other day and this question was asked. The answer was positive but as usual it was in the usual " we're looking at it/planning it/thinking about it" etc. terms. Sorry can't remember which site I saw it on.
I'd certainly be interested in one.

High ISO won't help you control depth of field or avoid diffraction. .
