  • E-M1 MkIII Instruction Manual is up on Olympus site

It is now possible to download the instruction manual for the new camera here:

I’m going to have a read and see if I can convince myself to upgrade or not..

“Custom modes can be updated automatically to reflect any changes made to settings while the mode is selected during shooting.” - page 57

    Didn’t know that, sounds useful.

“Starry sky AF cannot be used with Pro Capture” - could have used that for meteors otherwise. I wonder if can use it to focus then switch to MF.

”Starry sky AF is available with OLYMPUS Four Thirds lenses. It cannot, however, be used with lenses with a maximum aperture over f/5.6. For more information, visit the OLYMPUS website.” - better read up on that. Won’t work with a f2.8 4/3 lens?

      page 66

”The only options available when [starry sky AF] is selected are single target, 9-target group (3 × 3),
      and 25-target group (5×5) modes.”

“SIS3 - Image stabilization applies to horizontal motion. Use when panning the camera vertically” - this isn’t on the Mk2. I don’t get many vertical BIFs though. Good for rocket shots!

Other way, they mean slower than f/5.6.
