  • Minor rant...

Why do they design body jackets/cases for camera where you have to unscrew the tripod screw & remove the jacket to access the battery/SD card compartment? It drives me nuts! 😱 I'm sure they could be designed with a little access 'port' or something. It's so annoying 😀

I know I could leave the jacket off, but I'm trying to protect my camera.

    Sorry, rant over πŸ˜„

Fair point. But remember the good old days when a cell battery would last a few months as all it had to do was move a needle in the viewfinder.

Dependant upon which camera you need the case for, there are some with the access points that you want. Problem is, they are very few and far between.

You could patent a new jacket design that's just slip on or clip on.

p.s. I don't bother with a case anymore since I find it a hassle to get it on and off

Yeah, I could if I had the skill to make one πŸ˜‚

What is the point of such jackets?

To protect much of the camera from your sticky paws, I guess... & make it less slippery?

I can't imagine what you people get up to!

I always have a battery grip on anyway.

I have the same rant with tripod mounting plates, only on my Olympus E cameras with battery grips can I change a battery without having to remove the plate. HumBug, bah !!
The picture tells the story, great when you have a bad memory.DW.

                Hi Harold
the slipperiness I refer to is the shiny casing of the e-pm1... I haven’t managed to find a battery grip for that model, if I could I’d swap to that πŸ™‚
