  • Talk me through 'Fill Flash' on my E-M5 Mk3 please.

I've got a little Olympus FL-LM3 Flash to use on my E-M5 Mk3 bodies and I gave it a try on one of them this morning.
Just pushed it onto the hot-shoe told it to behave and went walkies ... it never flashed once 😂
It was my first time of trying with a flash and I was in P (Programme) mode, (I usually use A/P but was trying something different).
I guess I need some other settings to make it work but it's all new to me as a relatively new Oly user.

I'm sure there are other ways with different flashes, off-camera etc but that's not what I want to do.

    Did you check:
the flash lever on the unit was switched to on
the camera was switched to the flash setting in the super control panel
the camera is not set to silent shutter - if I remember correctly if on silent the flas does not work

just a few suggestions from my own use of flashes on these cameras.

Hope you get sorted, if not keep asking questions, this is a very supportive forum 😀
