I used a product called Armor to protect my Nikon from knocks and scratches. It was made from a silicone skin and was made to incorporate all of the buttons, dials and back screen. It fitted like a glove. 7 years on, when the cover came off, the body was unmarked and in mint condition.

I have been looking on Amazon and eBay for a replacement to protect the E-M1 but so far have not found it being sold anywhere. They do one for the OM10 and the PEN, but not the E-M1. Can someone please point me in the right direction or suggest an alternative?

Never heard of one before. Would be useful if in a tough environment.

Does it impede the camera use at all...

What's annoying is that they are made for Nikon, Canon

I think the problem is the removable battery grip would mean having two "armours"

I've got one of these on the E-P5 and it has saved it from a few knocks

Not on the Nikon, as the silicone rubber fitted all of dials, buttons, battery door, screen etc. It might not suit everyone's taste as it hid the Nikon brand from view. I felt less intimidated going into a bird hide, congregated by the 'Big Ma' fraternity. You know how they all look at what gear you have. Anyway I now have an Olympus to show off
