Anyone know of a source of GOOD quality BLM-1's at a GOOD price.

It need not be an original Olympus, just don't want to buy any junk

Hahnel do a good one (HL-M1) I get mine from digital depot in Stevenage. I can't remember how much but they are cheaper than OE.

It is a good review of various third-party BLM-1s. I went with the Uniross ones based on this review.

Yes - I used that review as well.

When I wanted to buy I couldnt find anyone with the uniross ones in stock (even though amazon quoted a great price they were 2-4 weeks).

I bought the 7dayshop ones and they seem fine. (so far...)

I have just taken a failed one to bits and it looks like the cells are ok (lots of power in them) So the circuit must not be working correctly.

Anyone know of a source of GOOD quality BLM-1's at a GOOD price.

Someone on dpreview did a very comprehensive and in depth review of the BLM-1 and clones. Some cheap ones were decidedly dodgy but by far the best value and well made one that performed as well as the genuine Olympus, was the Uniross VB104295. I get mine from Amazon.
