Does anyone have an update on where things stand using the AA battery holder or the LBH holder with the HLD4 please?

Re: Hld 4
I can't get the AA holder to work, even with new Duracell plus alkalines, let alone rechargeables or zinc carbons. It focuses, the shutter opens but then the camera dies. Switching it off makes a whirring sound (focus?) and then switching it back on closes the shutter again. With the LBH1 it will focus but the shutter won't fire and the camera dies. In both cases the battery indicator is green at switch on. Firmware is 1.1.
I've been using a Uniross and an Olympus BLM1 for normal use. After about 400 shots the red battery indicator came on. I took both batteries out and replaced them after which the indicator returned to green. I've only taken a few shots since then so don't know how long the batteries last overall. However I don't regard 400 shots as being a proper limit in the circumstances. The E1, albeit with a slightly greater battery capacity, was capable of 700 or so.
Any advice welcome.David
